How Our Operating Model Supports the Circular Economy

This graphic shows the process of how our operating model supports the circular economy. We recycle metals and then distribute them through our transportation network to smelter and foundry customers around the world. We also use some of the recycled metal in our mill operation to create new finished steel products. The recycled metals are used for infrastructure as well as vehicles, vehicle batteries, appliances, and renewable energy generation. At the end-of-life for these finished products, the metal can once again go through our recycling operations. For vehicles, our automotive and dismantling and retail stores also offer automotive parts to consumers for reuse.
